To ensure the highest
quality product, Abacus recommend a simple preparation process
Remove the
top shell (orange shell)
from the body of the crab
Remove
the gills and gut of the crab and rinse briefly
Cut
the crab in half and if required you
can cut each half again
Wash
and crack the claws. The red dot on the inside of the crab
claw is the best place to crack the section with the nipper.
For the rear section of the claw crack near the knuckle.
Place
the crab in a covered dish in a steamer or microwave and re-heat
for 60 to 90 seconds (Note this is subject to the microwave
power). You can also add the sauce at this stage or heat sauce
or garnish and ladle over warmed crab.
